Are Marshall Home paints washable?
Do I need to apply sealer before painting?
- Marshall paints are formulated to provide excellent adhesion and coverage, so they do not require a pre-sealer. Just make sure the surface is clean, dry, and free of dust or grease before applying.

- For road markings, we recommend solvent-based or water-based acrylic paint with reflective additives that offer excellent adhesion, fast drying, and resistance to vehicular traffic and weathering. Marshall offers options specifically formulated for traffic and signage.
- For swimming pools, we recommend special pool paint that is resistant to water and chemicals such as chlorine.

How should I prepare the surface before painting?

How long does it take for paint to dry?
- The surface to be painted must be clean, dry, and free of dust, grease, wax, and any other contaminants that could impair adhesion. Old or damaged paint must be completely removed using a wire brush or spatula.
- With a brush, the paint should be diluted a maximum of 15% with clean water. With a roller and/or spray equipment, the paint should be diluted a maximum of 25% with clean water.
- Apply the first coat and let it dry for two hours before applying the second coat. If this isn't possible, let it dry for 12 hours for a good result.
